Created as a grad school project, Deja Brew is my own invention. I was tasked with developing a mock website and social media profiles for the company. It was a fun project, drawing on my imagination, writing chops, and eye for design.

But who are we? Meet our founder, Rhonni Delaney. She’s the genius behind the Deja Brew Coffee brand, a business she built on the foundation of providing the highest quality coffee that’s been farmed, transported, and served by people whose well-being is the company’s top priority. With her passion for good coffee and enriched community, she opened Deja Brew in 1994. DB‘s original location in The Woodlands, Texas features both an exterior walk-up counter and a full-service loft seating area with coffee- and chocolate-based cocktails to supplement the extensive menu of traditional coffee and pastry offerings.
“I first expanded by taking my coffee to music and art festivals around the Houston area, then expanded throughout Texas. My appreciation for the musicians I met along the way convinced me to always supplement my venues with live acoustic musicians and to decorate with work from the local artists in each community.” It all comes back to the Deja Brew mission:
“To serve fresh delicious coffee, true smiles, and Organic, Fair-Trade ingredients wherever possible.”

We’re not just Rhonni, though. CEO Lance Puckett joined Deja Brew in 2000, he leads an employee force that shares our values from the top to the bottom of the organization. Those employees have created the face-to-face interactions that are the heart of Deja Brew’s success as a coffee and a culture.
Rhonni and the company are the recipients of a 2022 Good Food Award for coffee with “exemplary flavor—sweet, clean, well-developed body, balanced acidity, and phenomenal aromatics” (Cadwalader, Z. 2022, para.2), and the 2010 recipient of The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business Award, given to female entrepreneurs who demonstrate business savvy as well as outstanding service to the community.
